Work Study for Internships?

A friend of mine at a different law school says that he got work study money for his summer internship. When I asked our Financial Aid office about it, they said that this option wasn't available. Have any of you heard about this type of program? Is there a way to get around the financial aid office to get paid for my unpaid internship this spring?

Your friend probably participated in a community-based work study program. This has to go through your law school so there's no way to get around it. The law school and the employer sign a contract and you get paid through the school just as you would if you worked on campus.

If your school has an externship program, you might be able to get academic credit for your work.
Generally internship is paid.
Generally internship is paid. So if you search properly, you can manage paid internship.
